Ambulatory/Primary Care Clerkship - Family Medicine Component

Clerkship Overview: A clerkship in family practice in urban, suburban, or rural areas of Washington, D.C.

Preceptor/Location: Varies

Duration: Four weeks

Maximum number of students: Flexible

Application Procedure: 
If you have a potential site:

  • Contact the program coordinator to have the site approved at least one month prior the rotation. The preceptor must be board certified in Family Medicine.
  • Provide a confirmation of acceptance from the site to Program coordinator Andrea Cammack by e-mail atac325@georgetown.edu or fax to 202-687-7230.
  • Submit a GUSOM application for an extramural elective for the approval.

If you do not have a potential site: 

  • Contact the program coordinator to get the list of possible sites.
  • Contact the site to get the approval.
  • Provide a confirmation of acceptance from the site to Program Coordinator Andrea Cammack by e-mail at ac325@georgetown.edu or fax at 202-687-7230.
  • Submit a GUSOM application for an extramural elective for the approval.
