Scholar Spotlight: Grace DeLeon

Grace DeLeon is a Master’s Entry to Nursing student at Georgetown University, graduating in 2026. Originally from Bethesda, Maryland, she has a background in public health and policy, where she led initiatives focused on substance use disorder and opioid prevention.

Through her experience as an AHEC scholar and patient navigator in Washington, DC, Grace developed a strong foundation in patient advocacy, care coordination, and addressing social determinants of health. She will begin her nursing career at Inova Fairfax Hospital as a heart and lung transplant nurse, with long-term interests in high-acuity care, transplant, and critical care nursing.
